Meet Elyse

Elyse Gardner, LPCA

I’m a therapist, educator, and facilitator devoted to helping people return to a felt sense of safety, connection, and wholeness within themselves.

My work is shaped by a lifelong relationship with the natural world, a deep respect for the intelligence of the nervous system, and a genuine love of teaching and learning. I hold healing as something that unfolds through rhythm and relationship, not force or quick fixes.

Outside of sessions, I’m nourished by time in nature, movement, creative expression, and tending to the simple rhythms of daily life. These values inform how I practice and how I hold space. I believe healing does not live only in insight, but in how we breathe, move, rest, and relate, both to ourselves and to others.

Clients often describe my presence as steady, warm, playful, and attuned. I’m direct when clarity is needed and gentle when care is called for. Our work is collaborative. You remain the expert on your own experience, and my role is to support you in listening more closely to what your body and life are already communicating. I approach healing as non-linear, moving in spirals, pauses, and returns, guided by respect for your pace and process.

A Holistic Approach.

With a master’s degree in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling and advanced training in somatic approaches, my work is holistic in nature, addressing the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and heart. Rather than isolating thoughts or memories and working from a single angle, I take a wider view that honors how your experiences live in your body and shape how you move through the world.

I believe the body holds essential wisdom about who we are, what matters to us, and what allows us to feel fulfilled and alive. In a fast-paced, overstimulating culture, many of us have learned to override or numb these signals, responding to patterns, symptoms, or discomfort by pushing through rather than listening. This work offers a place to slow down, soften, and begin paying attention again, with compassion and care.

My training in transpersonal counseling and psychedelic integration informs an approach that emphasizes balance and integration across all aspects of self. Rather than focusing on symptom relief alone or working with one dimension in isolation, we attend to how mind, body, emotions, values, and meaning are interacting in your life. This lens supports greater coherence and alignment, helping experiences, whether ordinary or profound, be integrated in ways that are grounded, sustainable, and relevant to daily living.
